Who is Jennifer?

IN A Nutshell

I’m a former stay-at-home mom who was once terrified to speak in front of crowds. With prayer and practice, I overcame fear and discovered my inner confidence. Gifted with the power to combat fear, I began to coach countless women in doing the inner work that is necessary to grow profitable businesses and speak life to crowds.

GREATER THAN THAT

I am a follower of Jesus, wife to an amazing man, and mother to three world-changing children.

How it all went down

My first visit to the principal’s office was in elementary school for selling candy.

At the tender age of 8, my mom encouraged me to sell candy at school to earn enough money for the My Little Pony Backpack I wanted more than life. I have a saying, “destiny leaves clues” and that first run-in with my elementary principal proved this true. That experience was the seed that ignited my passion for entrepreneurship.

Fast Forward Past College

After competing as a division 1 track and field athlete and earning my bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fresno State University, I took the bold step to form my first business. Want to guess what it was? Well, I married my college sweetheart and after getting hooked on the wedding shows while planning our wedding, I decided to take a stab at becoming a professional wedding planner. Guess what else? As I was running my business on the side, I was laid off from my high-profile job in the Mayor’s office. I took divine opportunity to go all-in on my wedding planning business and before long, my firm quickly became highly sought after throughout the Central Valley area.

And Then We Had to Relocate

Yep, we had to move. To say I was devastated is an understatement. After pouring everything I had into my event business, my husband hit me with the news that God told him to move to the Bay Area (his hometown) to start a church. (Picks up mouth from the floor) Let’s not mention that we are now on baby 1.5, and I’m turning away clients in the Central Valley because I’m booked. Closing down my business was the hardest thing that I ever had to do. Did I also mention we had to short sell our very first home to move? Talk about a hard pill I had to swallow. While I was 9 months pregnant and with a toddler in tow, we packed up our Honda Accord, stuck a “for sale” sign in the yard, and trekked 180 miles north to Oakland, California, to begin a new stage of life with no clue of what lay ahead.

New Home and New Purpose

I found my voice.

I found my lane.

I rediscovered my purpose.

After months of denial, depression, and loneliness, I finally came to a place to choose life. To dig deep, connect with God for clarity to determine what was next. Before I knew it, I was a mother of two children under two, co-leading a new church, and carried a burning desire to help women like me to build the confidence to create the life they wanted and deserved. I deconstructed the spiritual process that brought me to a place of confidence, purpose, and clarity and put it all into a coaching program to transform women’s lives.

That entrepreneurial bug remained constant, urging me to begin new business endeavors. Each year birthed new ideas and opportunities that included hosting sold out women’s events, publishing my first book, launching my speaking career to share my story to help other women discover confidence after calamity, and starting a coaching business to help aspiring entrepreneurs build confidence to create the life they want and deserve.

What does it for me everytime are the DMs, emails, acknowledgements in books from my former clients and mentees expressing the growth of their confidence that empowered them to ask, pursue, and demand what they wanted.

Confidence is the key to life.
